How to reward your dog

Of course we use rewards at the Schutzhund centre. We reward any good performance and behavior of our dogs during training.

We ignore any false behavior. Therefore our dogs learn very fast which behavior is right and which is wrong.

We use cheese cubes, sausages or fruits to reward our dogs. Liverwurst bread or meat is also popular for dog training. Please do not use dry or commercial rewards. Your dog must chew these too long, what decreases his concentration. Additional, crumbs that are falling down distract your dog too strongly. Always use soft treats to reward your dog in training, which he can swallow immediately.
